Many network marketers have no idea what I am talking about when I mention the elevator speech? Many network marketers have no idea what I am talking about when I mention the elevator speech. It's still just as important today as it was 10 years ago. This is a simple technique but is often forgotten. Do you realize there are many top salesmen who use elevator speeches to draw prospects/potential clients. They don't leave home without it (lol).
Listen, EVERYONE should have a 30 second speech ready to go. Think about? When someone asks you, "what do you do?" Are you ready to let the words flow? Are you stumbling with words? Most of us are not even prepared to respond.
Even though you know your mlm company well, and most likely have read every marketing materials about your company, you still need something simple, short, when you come across someone who ask ,"what you do for a living"?. Giving the prospects too much information will only confused them and not get positive results. Your elevator speech should be rehearsed & practice that it flows naturally. Once you got it down pack, you can use your elevator speeches everywhere, email signatures, networking events, trade shows, calls, and folks you just met. The list can go on.
The competition in this industry is tight.......so you have to different and stand out from the competition. Just think, when you go to an event, there could be 30 or more people around you. Well, you are competition with them. You need to shine! Your 30 second spill can make the difference.
So, how do I go about even creating a 30 second speech? Well, there are so many styles and ways, it seem like everyone thinks they have the right way. Here are some great elevator speeches I picked up through the internet and I changed them a little to fit me. You can modify them to fit your own style and personality.
1.Our international company is expanding in this area and the demand for its products is so high, Do you know someone who would love to have a second or a third income stream?"
2. “Mr. Smith? Let me introduce myself, I’m Angela Harrelson, rep for Heart and Body Naturals. We are International company provide high quality plant based natural & organic products in the network marketing industry. I’ve been looking forward to speaking with you. I recently saw your profile, and I was very impressed with your background. If possible, I wanted an opportunity to talk on how my company could generate additional profits for you. Here’s my card, I’d like to call your secretary and get on your calendar at your earliest convenience.”

Now, you can add your own personality and style here. It's all about the prospect. If they can see something that is going to benefit them, they most likely will say yes, and will want to know more about your biz. So get your pen out & practice! Memorize it when you are out networking. You can use them online but just do not abuse it by spamming. Make the connection with the prospect. When they ask you what you do for a living? Go for it.
