Theresa Lawrence-Ford is The Medical Director of North Georgia Rheumatology Group and an Active Staff member at Gwinnett Medical Center Hospitals. She practices in a single specialty group in Gwinnett County, Georgia with her sister who is also a Rheumatologist. Dr. Lawrence Ford received her Medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University Hospitals, where she also completed a fellowship in Rheumatology and Immunology. She is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, a member of the National Medical Association, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rheumatology Society’ and an active member of the Board of Directors for the Georgia Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. She has also served as a Member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Registry.
Dr. John W. Buckner, M.D. graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine in 1985. He practices medicine in Springfield, MO and specializes in surgery. Dr. Buckner is affiliated with Ferrell-Duncan Clinic and CoxHealth in Springfield. Dr. Buckner is a Wellness Advisory Board member and is proud to be part of the PURE: People United Reaching Everyone family. Dr. Buckner returned to Springfield in 1993 and joined Ferrell Duncan Clinic. He has practiced all areas of general and vascular surgery since his return to Springfield, but has always concentrated his efforts on improving breast surgical care for the women of Southwest Missouri. He became the first surgeon in Springfield to perform a number of new procedures in the treatment of breast cancer and has been principle investigator in breast cancer research with the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group.
Carrie Beth Smith, PharmD, BCPS Pharmacist Dr. Carrie Beth is a seasoned expert in the field of pharmacology whose perspective on well-being will help carry PURE’s vision to the world. She finds her greatest motivation in coaching others to improve their overall health and wellness. *Wellness Advisory Board Members are compensated for their role on the Wellness Advisory Board. In addition to serving as a Wellness Advisory Board Member, Carrie Beth Smith, PharmD, BCPS is also a PURE Independent Business Owner.
Tanya Reddick Rodgers, MD, FAAD Dermatologist Dr. Tanya Reddick Rodgers is a board certified dermatologist with extensive training in general, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology, and dermatological surgery. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine at The Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where she served as an integral part of the Multicultural Skin of Color Clinic designed to meet the unique skin care needs of all of those with skin of color, including the African-American, Asian, Latino, and Middle-Eastern communities. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a Diplomate for the American Board of Dermatology, and a member of the Texas Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. In addition to her professional societies, Dr. Rodgers is a published author in peer-reviewed journals and a dermatology treatment textbook. Her greatest motivation is in ensuring the best aesthetic results possible for her patients.
